Mario Almeida, Founder
Founder
Mario Almeida founded SPEX in 2016 after nine years as a Solutions Architect at the European Commission's DG DIGIT.
Over 25 years of technology leadership, starting in systems administration and multimedia in Portugal, then SharePoint consulting at Accenture and Novabase, then the institutional scale of DIGIT, managing system upgrades, building centralised IT asset management and delivering SharePoint solutions across the Commission's directorates.
SPEX expanded from SharePoint into cloud architecture, automation platforms, observability and AI-driven systems integration.
Licentiate in Computer Engineering, Polytechnic Institute of Setúbal. Microsoft Certified Professional. Author of two published Splunk apps for Microsoft Power Platform telemetry. Proof of product-grade engineering, not just consulting.
